Roderick Paulate and Amy Perez are officially back at ABS-CBN. The two TV hosts who rose to fame in Pera o Bayong, a popular segment of the hit noontime show Magandang Tanghali Bayan during the late ‘90s and early 2000s, signed a contract with the Kapamilya network on October 22, 2013, Tuesday.

The returning Kapamilya hosts expressed their happiness to be “home” again. “Masaya, mixed emotions, alam mo ‘yung feeling na you’re back home,” Roderick said. “At sobrang na-appreciate namin ‘yung warm welcome, lahat ng tao, ultimo mga kaibigan nating guards parang lahat sila ay masaya na nandito ka ulit,” Amy added.

“Lahat masaya, lahat excited, kaya naman talagang kami ni kuya Dick (Roderick) sobrang, the past weeks, ‘yung feeling namin, overwhelmed kami na lahat sila sobrang happy at kami rin namang dalawa parehong masayang-masaya kami na magkakasama kami ulit,” Amy relayed.

For Kuya Dick, being back at ABS-CBN has become nostalgic, as he met his old pals again who are still presently working for the network. “Very nostalgic [‘yung experience] eh. Bumalik ako dito nong nag recording ako for 60th anniversary. Alam mo ‘yung feeling na nagpuntahan ‘yung dating mong staff, tapos nagbabaan sa recording, iba talaga, at I think hindi naman natin pwedeng plastikin na we’re family here at ‘yung mga experiences ng buhay namin talaga nangyari dito and I’m so happy, na lagi kung sinasabi na masayang masaya ako na ‘yung nakita kong tao ng umalis ako, ‘yung pagbalik namin sila pa rin,” he said.

Amy and Kuya Dick will be hosting The Singing Bee which is slated to air in November this year. On the preparations that they are doing for the show, Roderick shared that small adjustments are needed since he already has a good rapport with Amy. “Well, ang approach naman diyan ay alamin mo muna ‘yung show at so siguro maga-adapt o maga-adjust na lang kami kung anong klaseng show ‘yung gagawin namin. ‘Yung rapport namin sa isa’t isa hindi na ‘yun questionable, it’s there already so we will just think of how to entertain the people para mag-enjoy sila lagi.”
