Paul Jake Castillo again denied circulating stories that said he is courting Erich Gonzales. In a recent interview with Push.com.ph, Paul Jake said Erich is just a good acquaintance. 'As she had said na rin sa isang interview, nagkausap lang kami sa Star Magic Ball. Dun siguro nag-start 'lsquo;yung mga chismis. Nagkaka text kami minsan. But that'rsquo;s just it. I'rsquo;m not courting her.' Nevertheless, he admitted that he finds Erich very pretty. 'I really find her pretty and I don'rsquo;t think there'rsquo;s anything wrong with that.'

Paul Jake is currently part of the afternoon teleserye Precious Hearts Romances presents Alyna where he plays the best friend of Jason Abalos. In the series Paul Jake is paired with fellow Pinoy Big Brother alum Beauty Gonzalez. While many viewers are enjoying his on screen tandem with Beauty, Paul Jake said they are just friends in real life. 'She'rsquo;s just my partner on the show. But we'rsquo;re friends talaga. Minsan nga lumalabas kami with other stars like sina JM (De Guzman), Jason, si Sid (Lucero). Si Shaina (Magdayao) hindi na nakakasama because she needs to rest naman.'

The 25-year-old lad from Cebu joined the reality show PBB Double Up where he finished as runner-up to Big Winner Melai Cantiveros. During his stay inside the house, he was granted a visit from his long time girlfriend by Big Brother. Sadly a few months after PBB, Paul Jake and his girlfriend broke up. But he explained that there are no ill feelings between them. 'Hindi naman 'lsquo;yung showbiz ang dahilan. There'rsquo;s no bad feelings between us. I still have contact with her family. We'rsquo;re good, but we haven'rsquo;t talked for a while because she'rsquo;s going around the world and I'rsquo;m busy with Alyna.'

Although single at this time, Paul Jake said he doesn'rsquo;t see himself in a relationship while he has his hands full with work. 'I'rsquo;m not looking for a new girlfriend right now. One show nga lang 'lsquo;yung ginagawa ko, hindi pa ako 'lsquo;yung leading man, halos wala na akong time for myself. I can'rsquo;t even go out to have fun like I used to.'

To avoid having a 'blue Christmas,' Paul Jake will be spending the Holidays with his family in Cebu, something he wasn'rsquo;t able to do last year because he was inside the PBB house. 'I'rsquo;ll be spending Christmas with my family in Cebu. Last year hindi ko sila nakasama because I was in PBB.'
